A beautiful metaphor for life or death....the tree and you....if your feet aren't steady on the ground, then you shall topple.....your words are chosen so perfectly for this piece...your fruit is poison you and others will die and so will I! very dramatic....love it!!!
Warmly, B
This lovely poem has a message in it. Some trees have more flexibility than others. Their limbs bend and they can survive the most powerful of storms. Trees like the oak are more likely to fall, while birches can live on. People are like that too. Wonderful write Patricia.

Thank you kindly Chris! Still shaking out my pen. :)
dearest Patricia.. we camped a lot on family Land… and many times we experienced the Wind bending the Trees… as we were bending on our knees until morning Sunrise Reverie. Your poetry has a depth that gives us Hope and the Will to persevere… gently, Pat
and not all trees grow in Brooklyn...not all the ones to write about.
"Bend with me/ or, I, too, will fall."
Wonderful lines there. You are such an excellent poet, Patricia.
I am glad to see you around WC again. Missed you.

You got all this from a tree?
Must have been a wise oak, because I talk to trees all the time and they never answer me. Well, I sometimes hear them Whisper behind my back, but put that down to wind whispers.
Maybe the trees here are more shy (Scots pine) but not one of them so much as says good morning as I pass.
But maybe, ahh... The advice is from yourself? Now I get it! You're such a wise talking tree! 😊
Your first reviewer has said much of what I thought after reading your poem twice. This seems to be another thread in your thoughts, love and care for and of the All Around and how it can show Humankind can fall or rise as we walk the path. A wonderful poem, Pat, from your dear and steadfast heart. Blessings galore, dear lady
There is so much wisdom in this metaphor of a poem. A truth learned by a full life lived. Even at great majestic heights we seldom stand firm. We are moved by the winds of life. Excellent write Patricia
