I read your poem "The Droughts end" and was struck by the way you used language to convey the beauty and transience of life. Your words are a powerful reminder to cherish every moment and to find joy in the simple things.
I appreciated the way you used imagery to create a sense of atmosphere and mood. Your words transported me to a world of summer showers and aging couples, where love and joy are celebrated in the midst of life's fleeting moments.
Your poem is a reminder of the importance of living in the present and finding beauty in the world around us. I was moved by your words and inspired by your message, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to read your poem.
Thank you for sharing your work with the world, and I look forward to reading more of your poetry in the future.
never too old to dance, never too old to enjoy those raindrops....
love the last stanza, and "When heaven/ No longer weeps for us."
I am reminded of an old song by Chad and Jeremy...."Willow weep for me"----
sometimes when it is raining I go outside and try to dance in between two raindrops...never works but sure is fun. So good to see your work back on the board again,
j.

Patricia,
I enjoyed this poem very much, your tight imagery is "dazzling," and the message is both deep and poignant. I've danced in the rain, and need to again so maybe heaven doesn't need to weep after all as I express my gratitude to God for the opportunity.

to wish I could dance right there right now

Beautifully put.
We should dance in the rain, while we can and while we have it.
We will mourn its passing, in both drought and the I abilities of Ageing.
Most people would smile at seeing it, but we worry about the few who would see us as fools, when they should worry more about why they no longer smile.
I shall dance in the rain, next time it comes. I hope someone videos it, and they will see that if a fool like me can do it, while wearing a penguin ones with welly boots, then they shouldn't have a problem doing it either 😊
