A Breath in the Wind

A Breath in the Wind

A Poem by Patricia
"

Late Night Writing

"

my beckoning breath

floating off into

the darkness

where he flows

like an age-old wind

that comes and goes

nomadic but not

without direction

or without reason

whereas I

feign both

yet, he comes

I stand before his

breath and bend

to his will

I am moved

I am stilled

I am ♾️ jealous of THIS! I wish I've written it or know how to do so! You were breathtaking and so now we are breathtaking... those mystical higher spiritual moments when words aren't enough to describe the feeling, yet You did it here, gloriously, sublimely, so deeply moving. ♾️ of 100 if I could!

I see a homage here to the muse...moved, stilled, we stand before him or her and bend to the will that is not ours.
nicely done..and yes, as John says...much like a religious experience.

This brief offering describes what sounds almost like a religious experience. The root word of breath is the same as that for spirit, and the mysterious "he" does sound like a spirit. In the presence of such must we all be stilled.
