An Old man And some kids

A Poem by Wondering about Wonders

An old man came to town, the kids loved him

He came to town all the time when the adults were at work

And he played with the kids all of the time

And the kids loved him

He was kind and joyous with the kids

And he took them on trips as well

The kids would sign up for vacation

And they loved the place

They loved the place so much they never left

And he loved it there he did

And he loved the kids

And he was kind and joyous with the kids

And he would go back to town when the adults were at work

And the kids loved him they did

And he loved them

Then they would go on trips as well

And they loved the trips they did

They did so much that they never left

Until one day

He came to town

And there were no more kids

A creepy tale. Kinda like a mix between Santa Clause and the legends of the Bloofer Lady.
I like the way it progressed from lots of kids to no kids. Nicely penned. =)
