Model

Model

A Poem by Lisasview
"

The photo is of a famous model ~ my mother.

"

M O D E L

Aspiring young model,

so elegantly attired,

nervously awaits

her final call....

Long, slim legs appear …

cheering crowds admire,

now hushed, gaze upon

such vibrantly

enthralling

beauty.

Spotlights enhance

every exquisite move.

Photos snap …

 graceful moments,

captured.

 Blue, crystal eyes sparkle,

like brightly enchanting

nighttime stars.

Shiny, spiked, ebony heels

dance melodic rhythms

… echoing every step.

Silk skirt gracefully flows,

as though caressed by

 gentle breezes.

Bright, hot-pink lipstick …

Vaseline's wet smile

never fades.

Her dreams came true ~

Hi Lisa, I love this piece, not only because of the stunning images and the easy flow to read, but my dad was in the high fashion women's shoe business eons ago and I got to see the models walk sown the runway... all dressed perfectly, and as skinny as can be....so this poem did bring back memories for me....excellent writing as well, Lisa....

This is a story with a happy ending, well told and well described. It's uplifting when compared with fiction about models, actresses etc. that ends in disaster.

Caught with words rather than a click, a picture of all the elegance, primping and fun a model gets to partake in.

Like a photo there is so much out of sight, like all the aspirations, hard work, and luck of meeting the right people at the right time.

As a photographer I especially enjoyed this.

Love your sparkle-laden avatar, Lisa 🍒

As I adore every envious line of your mother's vivacious countenance, and of this brilliant Free Verse in gracious homage to her beautifully classical sophistication, it's easy to deduce from where the heritage of your own beauty and charm is derived.
The glowing ambiance emanating from this illustriously penned work is spotlighted by your deft diction, metaphorical imagery, and smooth syntactic flow … icinged with eye-candy presentation, cherry verbiage, and grammatically sweet coconut.

No suggestions, but to give us more of this delicious fare. 😋
Striking to the senses, stimulating to the imagination, what's not to love?
A low, chapeau-sweeping bow, M'Lady, for another stellar share! ⁓ Richard🖌

Your mother dear Lisa, the epitome of elegance. Rarely seen these days, sad to say. You have poemed her to perfection. Wonderfully conveyed, your words a treat to read.

What a poem, every word placed just so.. as is the pose of your beautiful mother in that photograph! Those were the days of true style and absolute elegance. The photographer used his/ her eye and self lived forever just as models like your mother remains as examples of 'how to be'. Just look at that flicker of fingers on the right hand, the near balletic pose of the feet.. And good golly, Miss Molly.. just look at that waist!
Those were the days of true fashion.. not the sink into a futon, boots on and knees almost apart to show the fall of a skirt! No wonder you show style of thought and attitude in/with your writing! Can't comment on your clothes style cos you're always sitting down!! :)
