Temptation

--------------~****~--------------

Temptation urged me closer,

   his hips swaying smoothly

with each undulating beat.

Upon his lips my eyes fixated, 

like a string to a red balloon.

My body filled with heat;

I couldn't pull away.

He did not see me

through the screaming crowd.

Moving free ~

music loud

lost under his spell.

Sweat glistened over his body …

like dew drops shimmering

on soft, glimmering rose petals;

 I could smell sweetness.

Our eyes met ~ as tho’ we were one,

fell into a trance, yet;

  sultry rhythms took over … 

to his song, I began to dance along.

Without warning, the music stopped!

Off the stage my love leapt,

kissed me tenderly, as

"temptation" swept

us away....!

You asked if I had read this poem and I hadn't! Had I done so, promise - would not have forgotten it very quickly. Firstly, the initial presentation - literally striking all the right introductions and made me smile - you canny creature, you! Moving on, adding that royally regal word, 'sweat'. Why does it suggest heat?. Anyone not knowing, ask Lisa. Moving even more - seems temptation didn't have to work very hard, did it!

Perhaps a book is on the go and you're considering twenty tones of bright red! Kudos, my friend.

Life should never be so busy that you can't dream and imagine for just a teeny while - surely!? Hope it won't be long when you're juggling with a pile of reviews! Till then, my review was a thank you for taking me off and away from all those whatevers!

Oh my travel was with Bib to see my daughter Heather in Texas. 12 days and the first time since we moved to Spain 4 years ago.
I am busy doing what I love… but I love way to many things.. ha ha
Writing takes a lot of time… and I need to be in the mood…
Came home to our veggie garden if chard and peas.. lovely dinner over rice.
Not sure if I told you or not but I got a new knee replaced in January and then 7 weeks ago caught a cold - flu and then bronchitis which was a challenge dealing with..
I also paint, make hand wired necklaces and practice piano… plus of course the gardens and cooking…and entertaining…so never a dull moment..❤️🥰

I lost so weight and so much muscle tone which is a drag.I was already pretty slim but now... oh well...

When I write this type of poem I always keep it on the sensual side...not "dirty" so that everyone can enjoy it...
