Forevermore

Forevermore

A Poem by Lisasview
"

Rhyming Quatrains with a Rhyming Couplet envoi poem regarding thoughts of death... Grateful to Richard for finding the perfect artwork for my poem and helping me along my journey writing poetry.

"

     Forevermore....

Lie me down on a bed of lavender;

naked, I will be in the blazing sun.

Upon death, to this earth I surrender …

for, my journey here with you is now done.

Remember my laughter in ocean's waves …

floating along with no care in the world.

As we hid inside of deep dark sea caves,

our eyes met softly, as blue waters swirled.

Kissing your salty neck, I held on tight

with loving thoughts....I drift to you again,

watching day's sun disappear into night,

knowing our true love's depth would never wane.

Beyond life, to your open arms I soar;

our souls entwine now ~ and forevermore....

It was great working together with you in formulating this creatively gorgeous piece.

This is beautiful. This gave me goosebumps and put a smile on my face. Short and sweet while eliminating the scary cloud over death. I found this flowed nicely and most definitely gave me something to model after as I'm new to the poetry game. Although new to writing but am a long time admirer and reader of the art. Thank you for sharing your work. Much love.

What a beautiful piece of writing.It's a topic I seem to connect with as it is the center of many poems. I am amazed, in awe, and just blown away that people with the credientials you all have, are on here, and reading a newcomer like myself, its very humbling and I appreciate you very much

Fascinating ability to work with the 10 syllables, within the quatrains and couplet rhyming. I had to read this one again :)

I felt a gratitude for life and acceptance of death… the “circle” gently closing.

It was a soft and gentle floating read. Thank you for the creation and for sharing your work.

A breathtakingly beautiful poem, dear Lisa!
I marvel at how efforlessly every line melts into the other with sheer imagery.
Your words gently whisper, caress your reader and they never want the magic to stop.
The message is equally beautiful and I strongly believe in soul mates and love beyond life.
The artwork used and the presentation of the poem on the page is exquisite.
Kudos!

Love is an eternal concept. For love to end because our form transforms is illogical. This is a beautiful poem with a beautiful message.
