Thirst for Love

Unrhymed Unmetered Quatrains w/Envoi

         

   

       

   Thirst for Love

        Fingertips play along his back,

        like tunes on a grand piano.

        Soft, fluid strokes I play

        moving to my tune.

                   ~~~

        Awakening, he turns … 

        his eyes, the colour of stars.

        I move to him quickly;

        naked ~ pressing my body to his.

                   ~~~

        Whispering sweet nothings

        I succumb to him …

        he takes me again and again;

        delighted, I watch him.

                   ~~~

        He leaves,

        without saying goodbye.

        I know he'll be back,

        again and again;

                   ~~~

        for, thirst of love

            continues on....

                   ~~~
