The Last Goodbye

The Last Goodbye

A Poem by Georgia

Pictures in your memory,

Capture it in every way

Changing times and thoughts and,

Something different everyday

And all the faces stored from,

Seven years of being here

Words and conversations,

The ones that you've been holding dear

Now the times are changing,

It's time for us to say goodbye

We wander through the hallways,

For the very last time

There's faces we won't see again,

When walking out that door

And other faces we will see,

Each year for evermore

Now new people take our places,

In the rooms we claimed our own

We never did look back,

To see how much we all had grown

From one year to another,

There were good times and some bad

Fighting through the hardships,

With the good friends that we had

Remember laughs and smiling,

From the memories that we hold

Don't forget the simple words,

That we were always told

I hope the path leads you,

Somewhere you always feel free

But don't you ever forget to,

Be the best that you can be.
