A Matter Of DaysA Poem by Georgia
In 24 days, I will stop waiting for a 'hey'
And I will do everything alone In 73 days, I will delete your messages And I will forget the first time you said hello In 107 days, I will start to forget the dreams And I will let them slip from my mind In 138 days, I will stop hoping the message is yours And I will find new ways to smile without you In 168 days, I will stop crying And I will forget the sweet names that you'd called me In 178 days, I will begin to breathe again And I'll forget the times you brightened my day In 208 days, I will smile all the time And I will forget when you said 'I love you' In 258 days, I will delete your videos And I will forget the ways you made me feel alive In 1,010 days, I will forget how we fell apart And I will begin to forget our memories In 1,110 days, I will be craving someone else And I will be happier than ever before In 3,274 months, I will be long gone And somebody will be researching our lives But everything that was 'us' will long since been forgotten. © 2014 Georgia |
