Conflicting Mind

Conflicting Mind

A Poem by Georgia

I don't want to know the way you feel
I don't want to see you here
I don't want to see the photographs
I don't want to shed a tear

I don't want to think of you once more
I don't want to hear your voice
I don't want to read your name again
I don't want to think of your choice

If I could travel back in time
I'd remove you from my brain
I'd stop the suffering I felt
I'd return to being sane

Though the lessons learnt I can apply
To a future experience
I rue the day that we first met
And my lack of self-confidence

It hurts to think of the time we spent
The pictures that you would take
I hate to think you repeat everything
Erase me like I'm a mistake

I'd say that this is over and gone
If the question came from you
I'd say that it was fine and of course;
You know I don't care, but I do.
