Red, Blue, Black And GreenA Poem by Georgia
I slowly walked in through the door
Placed my bag down on the floor It had been the perfect day I hoped the happiness would stay I looked back through the photographs All of them had made me laugh The calm before the storm, they say Soon the smiles would fade away Your name appeared five times or more I couldn't have predicted what I saw Two faces smiling back at me Her lips on yours was all I could see Emotions of red, blue, black and green I could not believe what I had seen The haunting thought came back to mind What you had been doing all this time I slowly walked in through door Placed my bag down on the floor All the attention was turned to me Posts being written for you to see I looked back through the photographs All of them had made me laugh Now your image was burning up my mind I realised you would never be kind Your name appeared five times or more I couldn't have predicted just what I saw The flashbacks of the words I read Never thought of as lies, in my head Emotions of red, blue, black and green I could not believe what I had seen The haunting thought came back to mind What you had been doing all this time I slowly walked in through the door Placed my bag down on the floor I wrote this piece, just for you To see the damage you could do I looked back through the photographs All of them had made me laugh Your face is now no longer there So never again can I care Your name appeared five times or more I could not have predicted just what I saw The long two months have almost gone Affected still but never so strong No emotions of red, blue, black and green Now I can believe what I have seen The haunting thought comes back to my mind Now I see what you were doing, all this time © 2014 Georgia |
