Keep Living

Keep Living

A Poem by Georgia

There's a girl
Waiting at the window
Little does she know
What's in store

She will smile
If only for a little while
Unknowing what will lie ahead
With all the words she wished she'd said

There'll be joy
There'll be pain
She'll find the sunshine
Somewhere amongst the bitter rain
She'll find happiness
She'll be proud

But she'll be tossed around and torn
She'll be up until the dawn
She'll have hopes and dreams
And cries and screams
Before the happiness she'll see
She'll keep living
Until she's found it all

There's a girl
Sitting all alone
With troubles of her own
Inside her head

She will cry
She'll watch the world just pass her by
Thinking all that lies ahead
Is hurt that wants to leave her dead

But she'll find joy
Amongst the pain
She'll find the sunshine
Somewhere amongst the bitter rain
She'll find her happiness
She'll be proud

But she's been tossed around and torn
She's been up until the dawn
She's got her hopes and dreams
But cries and screams
No happiness, that she can see
But she'll keep living
Until she's found it all

See that girl
Happy as she can be
Holding her baby
In her arms

She found love
Because she's never been so tough
She knew that what would lie ahead
Was what she made of life instead

Now she has joy
And sometimes pain
She's got her sunshine
Amongst the bitter, bitter rain
She found her happiness
Now she's proud

She's been tossed around and torn
She still stays up 'til the dawn
She had her hopes and dreams
Her cries and screams
With all the happiness she sees
She kept living
Now she's found it all
