Circles

Circles

A Poem by Georgia

Rain is falling all around,
Creating floods upon the ground.
Sweeping away what once was here,
No one around would dare come near.

The walls are crashing to the floor,
Everything's breaking, more and more.
The middle of the storm has just begun,
Will it ever be joined by sun?

The ending we see is very near,
The prediction we made is so, so clear.
Then once all the fighting has ceased,
Blame and guilt is all, at least.

Why my friend, must we fight?
All through the day and every night?
We're going in circles that never end,
We always break but never mend.

Why should we carry on?
We'll fight and fight until everything's gone.
I cannot keep this up forever,
Fighting for some kind of peace together.

The truth is and always will be,
You are much too different from me.
We will forever argue and clash,
No matter what, we keep coming back.

It's time for this circle to break,
End everything we've ever made.
If we cannot go on this way,
There's nothing more for us to say.
