Remember Us?

Remember Us?

A Poem by Georgia

Remember when we laughed,
Remember when we cried.
Remember all the feelings,
That are coming back to life.

Remember all the games we played,
Anywhere we could.
From the back garden of your house,
To that lonely little wood.

Think of all the secrets we shared,
All the memories that we made.
They've vanished along with the thought of you,
As I wished that they would fade.

Times got harder as our lives went on,
The arguing never stopped.
I had to leave the fire to burn,
Before it burned the lot.

I don't regret what I did that day,
And I haven't seen you since.
I never want to ever again,
Our memories make me wince.

I finished the game I could never do,
I thought you might like to know.
And I'm better than I was before,
I'm getting back on the road.

I wonder if your world's still upside down,
I never wanted to be involved.
I can't ever do that now,
Guess that's one problem solved.

I wonder why you did this,
Or did it slip out of your hands.
A question of choosing between me and her,
She was your only demand.

She was there all the time,
She drove you completely insane.
You were addicted, you couldn't stop,
I can hardly call that lame.

I hope you understand me now,
I couldn't go on that way.
You haven't escaped me that easily,
I still think of you every day.
