Torn

Torn

A Poem by Georgia

My tears fall on empty ground,
The sound of silence is all around.
The winter breeze is cold as snow,
A storm is raging, ready to go.

The heavy, dark-grey clouds are forming,
Sending out a single warning.
Rain will soon fall through the trees,
Bouncing off the autumn leaves.

Depressive thoughts swirl in my head,
Crawling, poisoning, wanting me dead.
Letting my dark side flood its way out,
Screaming and shouting with no one about.

Anger fills the once happy mind,
Now happiness is hard to find.
It's washed away with pain and tears,
After being stored for all these years.

Ripping through my heart and soul,
Leave me dying in the cold.
Tearing all that was in two,
A part for me and a part for you.

I lie in need on the frozen floor,
Replaying you walking, out the door.
Causing me agonizing pain,
Knowing, it will never be the same.

Frustration is killing me inside,
Looking for answers I cannot find.
Every colour has turned to black,
Now I'm hopelessly dreaming that you'll come back.

I find myself in gloomy thought,
Grief- stricken, lost and deeply distraught.
I see what we've lost but don't know how,
Tell me, what did I do now?
