You And Me

You And Me

A Poem by Georgia

I look around and what do I see?
There’s nothing here but you and me.
A little meadow, a blur of green,
How much can this one view mean?

Silence is what fills the air,
Sitting in our little pair.
Wondering what the world will bring,
For me as queen and you as king.

We’ll think out loud and talk as one,
The near future has just begun.
I hold your hand and you hold mine,
The world is perfect when we’re intertwined.

We lay together on the soft, cool, ground,
My head is spinning all around.
I could never wish for more,
I’m happy, whether rich or poor.

Don’t you ever leave I pray,
For I shall love you every day.
Written in the stars above,
Don’t you ever forget my love.

What we have, here and now,
Will last forever, I promise, somehow.
Nothing matters more than you,
I hope this is what you're feeling too.

Love is life and life is love,
Something created up above.
And here and now all that I see,
Is all that matters: you and me.
