The Worst Day

The Worst Day

A Poem by Georgia

I always knew this day would come,
It was written in the stars.
Yet somehow I want it to go away,
Travel from here to mars.

My best friend who I care about,
I want her to be happy to.
But what can I do now it's happened that,
We're both in love with you.

The way she acted all the time,
I picked it up from the start.
Yet now, you know, I dread the answer,
Only coming from your heart.

You said it's not a no, or a yes,
I know what your answer will be.
I saw you watch her every move,
Not taking an interest in me.

But I want her to be happy,
The same for you as well.
I wish this never happened,
I wouldn't be in this hell.

She's got more of a chance with you,
I see it in your eyes.
So if you ask, if I still like you,
I'll cover it up with lies.

I don't know how to feel right now,
Whether to be happy or sad.
She should get you, I know she should,
But the feeling makes me feel bad.

So as we await the answer you give,
I wish I'll meet someone new.
So you can be happy together,
And I'll finally be over you.
