Can't Ignore The Heart

Can't Ignore The Heart

A Poem by Georgia

It's really hard to tell you,
I wish that you would care.
Although it was months ago,
I'm sure something's still there.

I turn around the corner,
My heart just skips a beat.
Eyes meet eyes, we look away,
Both feeling the same heat.

I don't think this is normal,
The one and only, still.
Your love is like a drug to me,
A drug designed to kill.

You're always hanging 'round us,
I swear you fancy her.
Never interested in me,
Never have, never were.

Yet, I make these fairy tales,
We get back together.
Joined with love until the end,
In my heart forever.

I wonder what you're thinking,
What goes on in your head.
Who you dream of every day,
Then lying there in bed.

Many songs compare to you,
Still sometimes shed a tear.
Though some feelings go away,
Whenever you are near.

Lying to myself I fear,
Writing over my heart.
Not worth it, I tell myself,
Since we are now apart.

You told me some nasty things,
Yet sweet and nice things too.
Can't deny it anymore,
Baby, guess I love you.
