The Boy And Girl

Let me tell you a story,
About two people I know.
One was a boy, one was a girl,
And the story starts long ago.

Once upon a time, in a lovely primary school,
Was a girl with short brown hair.
Lots of friends, lots of knowledge,
And to others, lots of care.

Then came a day a few years on,
When a boy moved to the school.
She thought he would be nothing to her,
For that, she was a fool.

But a year or so on, the feeling changed,
Do I really need to explain?
Of course, she fell in love with him,
And her life was never the same.

So you see, as you may have guessed,
The boy befriended the girl.
And suddenly, in her mind,
The world had started to swirl.

Because she’d fallen in love again,
And she knew she couldn’t ignore it.
And all her dreams, gathered once more,
As if they had been moonlit.

She'd liked many boys before,
But they'd never worked out in the end.
Maybe this could be different?
On him she can depend.

A knight in shining armour?
Maybe just a friend?
You will have to decide for yourself,
Because as yet, there’s been no end.
