The Dream That Won't Come True

The Dream That Won't Come True

A Poem by Georgia

You're the shining in the sun,
You're the twinkle in the night.
You're the reason for this silence,
The one I long to hold tight.

You're the flowing of a river and
An everlasting dream.
You're the ripples from a pebble,
Someone tosses in a stream.

At my age you're just a school crush,
And yes there will be more.
But the love that I am feeling for you,
Is stronger than ever before.

You'll never know how much I love you,
Like doves " we'll never be.
Though one thing is for certain,
No one loves you more than me.

I see sparkle in your eyes,
I hear the sound of your voice.
When I look at you,
I know I've made the right choice.

Will there ever be a chance of us?
Of that I do not know.
If there was I'd love and cherish it,
But the chances are small and so,

All the dreams I've ever dreamed,
The ones of me and you.
Shall forever be forgotten,
You're the dream that won't come true.
