-Waiting-

-Waiting-

A Poem by *Always be Me:)*

Here I am,

Waiting on you to come and hold me.

You loving me,

Is such a miracle.

I thought I would never find someone,

So great, just as you are.

I love you dearly,

Just like you love me.

Our love is so pure,

It's like a lovely diamond ring.

Every moment that we share together,

Is one in a million.

I have been waiting,

Waiting for you all my life.

Now I have found you,

Now I am loved.

All the hurtful words,

From that past.

Are now no longer linging,

Here in my memory.

All that matters is our love,

And how strong it keeps growing.

I'm still waiting,

But waiting for you,

Is something I will always do.

With poems about love I find myself balancing between not being too mushy, and not being too physical, but in this piece you capture it perfectly. The perfect mix of sentiment and physical reality. A wonderful piece that makes me want to go to my husband and kiss him.

An interesting piece
One that has the emotions on the sleeve and yet not without insight!

This is an interesting poem. You used your emotion well, and conveyed a good story and image with it.

You got a little comma-happy again. Some of the lines in here do not necessitate commas or any form of punctuation.

"I thought I would never find someone, / So great, just as you are." I don't think you need the "just as you are." I think it's a bit implied by the rest of the sentence.

"Every moment that we share together, / Is one in a million." I don't know what you're trying to say here. I think you're going for special, but I saw it as rare. As in, you see him 1 out of 1,000,000 seconds/minutes/etc. I'm not sure that's what you're going for though.

"Are now no longer linging," I have no idea what linging is supposed to be. Lingering?

This is a good start though. Only a little tinkering and it should be good to go.

But waiting for you,

Is something I will always do.

This is exactly true! The meaning and depth to the word 'waiting' doesn't hold with those who've never been in the situation. Good piece!

I love the ending to it. The whole last line of the poem was def my favorite. It really wraps it all up.
