Song to the Moon

SONG TO THE MOON

And a bright white moon stares down at me

In my solitude.

Accusing, asking, pondering, staring.

I think of you: pale, teasing, bland and beautiful.

Looking deep into my soul.

Almost but not quite. A near miss.

I think of you: golden, shining, roaring and beautiful.

Snatching at my heart.

A maybe. A glimpse.

I think of you: dark, trusting, serious and beautiful.

Infusing my mind.

A wish. A dream sailing by

I think of you: insipid, plotting, manipulating and beautiful.

Playing with me.

A reminder. A warning

I think of you: colourful, creative, sweet and beautiful.

Discovering our selves.

A hope. A possibility.

And a bright white moon stares down at me

In my solitude.

Accusing, asking, pondering, staring.

Wonderful way to look at it. When I look at the moon my mind wonders away. Great work.
