A winter night.

A winter night.

A Poem by Owais Ashraf

And then in a year, a period arrives
When furs are incumbent, mufflers round the throat
Leaves betray branches, where are they gone?
They fall fir a reason, they fall by a promise
Naked aesthetics all around.

Nights become lingering
Oh! It seems tedious the night of course
Dejected skies without the moons
The bottles also reject to pour

Can't this night die?
Where is the light gone?
Can I hear a lullaby?
Can I be your child one night long?
