A symbol of stars and stripesA Poem by outspoken1234"When we honor our flag we honor what we stand for as a nation- freedom, equality, justice, and hope"~ Ronald Reagan
There's a flag that hangs in a corner
Watching over a class each day He never moves only stays His stripes are white and red Upon his head are bright white stars The represent freedom and peace He's quiet and mute but stands tall with pride For he has nothing to hide He's strong and meek like his brothers alike Many classes have gone and come in his time Some fight to defend him and others come to mend him Once he's close to seventy years old All tattered and worn He wants to be cremated and turned to ash Wanting nothing more then respect He only wants his remains scattered Among the vets
