Wishing well chid

Wishing well chid

A Poem by outspoken1234
"

This is about a child who is trying to escape life and finds a wishing well.

"
Wishing well child
Laying in the grass staring at the clouds
Dreaming of dreams so wild
Of noisy rough crowds
Around her lily's and wild flowers drift
Thinking of a boy with wild grey eyes
This boy made her whole world shift
Little did she know dusk approached with sparkling fireflies
Sighing as she got up and walked
Walking over to the wishing well she prayed
Take me away and protect me she bade
Please revive my heart, and soul, and provide protective aid
The little shivering girl closed her eyes to sleep
The well hearing her prayer moved to to protect her
She was the walls maid to keep
Many months and years went by in a blur
The little girl never woke or aged as she slept
Still protected by the wishing wells wall
Never to be found only kept
She's to be always hidden from all
From now to the end of time she's the wishing wells child
