Eggshells

Eggshells

A Poem by Rachel Myers
"

I struggle a lot with depression and anxiety. For a while it seemed to be getting better and during that time, this poem happened.

"

grasping at the edge of this sheet of comfort I have found

hoping for the commitment of the contentment

waiting waiting waiting

for the return of deathly desires

but they continue to keep their distance

as I sleep with a smile while the words,

Don’t

slip

again

echo in my head

I really liked this poem. I liked the format you chose and how you put the words "don't," "slip," and "again" on their own lines. It also had very good imagery.
