once, today, someday

once, today, someday

A Poem by MandarinOranges

once, not so long ago

i was a happy little soul

content with the ways of the world

accepting that which could not be changed

once, not so long ago

you where here with me

to face this cruel little world

and everything in it that would not change

once, not so long ago

today, being here

surrounded with memories of you

seeing your friends and family converge

not a one in the agony that i feel

today, being here

not one will ever know what we had

the complete happiness only memories shall again see

this loss of you tares me apart

today, being here

 someday soon,

my heart will mend

i will move on, slowly growing life

never will the memories of you and i fade

someday soon,

eight months from now

i will see your beautiful eyes again

you will be with me again, always, for me to hold

someday soon.

Beautiful and poignant, I can relate. My boyfriend broke up with me...so I know the feeling
