What I've Become

What I've Become

A Poem by MandarinOranges

Confused

alone, feeling used

Always bored

with plenty of regret stored

So very tired

minutes away from being fired

I get so disgusted

with myself for getting busted

Again, I get extremly wasted

trying to forget all those I've tasted

Thinking I could defiently commit murder

if only you could have choosen me over her

Instead, I'll admit that these unforgivable years

have failed to yeild anything other than useless tears

The passage of time comes to mind as I read this. It could be looking back over so many years, it could have been a day, it could have been the last five minutes. A series of unfortunate events, the regrets, the thoughts, this aches in the progression of life. I suppose it is odd to think this could have passed in a matter of moments as opposed to a matter of years or decades, but some people have those kind of days. This does not read like some grocery list though, one can imagine the boxes put away - stored away - what some would call baggage - of the memories that we might allow to define who we have become... but perhaps, they are just memories of who we were.

Oh! This is awesome, The ending is just "perfect" I guess its all upto you to add more in it but as far as I know, this piece is much complete in this way also!
So dark yet so vivid, so intriguing yet...so deep!
Brilliant piece of writing!

Very good so far, I think its nice the way it is. Well writen, well expressed. I can only relate with the first two stanza's, but the rest seems to allow me to feel what needed to be said. Great Job.
