Forgetting You

Forgetting You

A Poem by MandarinOranges

Originally written for a contest here..lost and found once more

"

Alas,

Broken again, I

Concentrate on

Destroying the memory that

Encumbers my spirit.

Finding I can't live with you

Gone, has me running

Helterskelter

Inside, trying to

Justify my being alive.

Knowing

Life must go on

My mind scoldes,

Never give up!

Obstacles will be

Plenty, so

Quit your goddamn crying!!

Rationality gone, my heart gives in,

Surrenders

Tethering me to this

Unhappiness that continually

Vexes me

While I find myself surrounded by

Xanthiums and

Your brothers hand finds my

Zipper

Remember when all our work was lost?? I didn't think I had written any of them down, so I tried rewritting this one. But the other day I came across a notebook with some of my lost writtings in it. So here it is...the original ABC poem.

I mentioned it in another review, and I need to mention it here.

Your ability to throw us down the stairs, calmly follow us down, and then kick the living crap out of us is simply amazing...

You convey so well the hurt and confusion. The fight to make sense of it all and how to continue on clearly questioned. Then stuff happens...it just does. Very well written and expressed.
