Writing this while eating ice cream on a cone

Thinking of the words that I own

For you to read alone

Hi there, though you'd say hello

Making me smile like Marilyn Monroe

You say you enjoy my poetry up to this point

and captured my interests like a checkpoint

Hey you, you, from New England

Yes, I call you from your bornland

Quite surprised that I wrote this for you

A poem that might be new

Hello there, you, on the other zone

Glad that you could make me smile

Compliment me like my name

and my face, as you say you imagine
