man on the moon

man on the moon

A Poem by oursong2

my notes hit the paper
with there ever beating breath
the music in these words
beats with a thousand steps
pacing to the hum of a glorious tune
my mind starts to wonder
of the man on the moon

does he sing? does he dance?
does he laugh? does he cry?
is he a child? or a man?
does he run? or fly?
can he see the world with a different view?
would he help if he could?
or would if he knew?

the man on the moon has helped me too see
its him and you and you and me
we are all the man the men on the moon
we laugh and we cry with our hearts so true
we are children and men
we sink and we swim
we will see the world differently
until the end

I really like how the rhyming isnt at all forced and I don't think Ill ever look at the moon the same. Delightful read, thank you
