Phones

Phones

A Poem by oursong2

I am a screen
But I am more
I am your life
At the bank
At the store

I consume you
More than you know
I blind you to the world
I give you false hope

Yet you still use me
For closure
For fame
I am neither of those the same

I let you believe me
It’s just what I do
I lie and I cheat
Who are you?

An interesting comment on today's world here. Many people are addicted to their media, especially the phones. They are supposed to be connecting us, but they seem to be driving people into their private niches.
