Bending

Bending

A Poem by oursong2

I walked through the path
From the valley to the flood
Water in its endless form
Water filled with blood

Seeping through the cracks
Breaking to the bone
Breaking all the souls
Of all here that roamed

Clinging to the trees
Most clinging for there life
Mother Nature trying
To break the spirit of our fight

We stood strong
We held on even stronger
We cried for a minute
It seemed like an hour

Sticking to what we know
Staying to what is true
Our hearts beat the pressure
Of the water moving through
