This Wildfire Life

This Wildfire Life

A Poem by oursong2

Strike a match

Catch a spark

Make it last

Feel the warmth

Feel the light

In the dark

Of the meadows path

Shake out the stone

Watch it roll

Into the valleys and the shadows

From where it roamed

So he can finally be

In this place called home

For the sun will rise

Higher in the skies

Cast a beam of light

Yes you are much alive

In the beauty of this wildfire life

You see

It's this freedom that we chase

The heat the cold erase

The memories that we face

Are over and over
