sinking ships

sinking ships

A Poem by oursong2

This sinking ship

Has found a home

Beneath the waves

Where once he roamed

Watching others just pass on by

He may be sunk

But has not died

As he looks beyond the surf

He sees the glory of this earth

And all that it is

All the hope that it gives

One must wonder

What lonely ships do

When on the bottom

Battered and bruised

He just smiles

Looking all around

He has no walls

No course to plot

No engine stalls

He is free

Some say

That ships just wreck

But it is at these depths

Where there alive
