DAY after DAYA Poem by oursong2There once was a man Who sat on the corner Every time i passed him I gave him a quarter He spoke no words but always smiled Even though his cloths were battered His cloths were torn He never had the time to scorn He just kept on smiling i Kept on walking by with my change Not even knowing it was flipped the other way He gave me laughter He gave me joy In an ever so drowning world He made me think He made step into the light For all around were shaded corners Except for his which glistened so bright He takes the good He has no bad In his life too make him sad He soaks up the sun He drowns out the grey For living a life Takes day after day © 2014 oursong2 |
