a scissored salutation

a scissored salutation

A Poem by other_
"

a better fiting title i think. more fun.

"

My face is cut out

of all the pictures

--as close to a knife in the heart

     as you could get

My shirts have been returned

my scent has left your pillow

I saw you the other day

with shorts on

smiling in the early warmth

Funny how you move on so quickly

rumor has gone around

that you have made new plans

with new men

I'd wish you the best

but that would require acknowledgement

and you are far too busy

to look back.

Very lovely. I'm surprised at how beautiful it is even if it doesn't have a set rhythmn. Very lovely. The fact that you said "other men" surprised me a little, but other than that I really enjoyed it! Very touching.

I enjoyed this, the emotion you inspire in the sad specticle of seeing someone and reminiscing some distant moment that meant more to you than them. Really great poem! You capture the feeling of it so well!

OUCH. A blistering sting of a write. The wound is visible, palpable. You should write more, I think you have a knack for it!
