   An unmarked grave, that's all I am, at least, that's all I am now. I'm not even six feet under, I'm just deep enough so  the police can't find me.

   Mama's gone to heaven, went a long time ago, before the dark days. Daddy's gone as well, but he didn't go where angels sing. Big sister Ivy- Anne's gone off to be a bride and  a mother, and Lizbeth has gone to boarding school. Ben went off to be a soldier, never to be seen or heard of again.

   And me, well, I'm dead. I watched the dirt get put on my corpse, standing up in my grave to make me harder to find. It must've worked, I haven't been found yet.
