What if?

What if?

A Poem by Carnation
"

What if one was not taught to love?

"
What if one was not taught to love
But to just sit there and watch it happen
What if one was not taught to speak up
She'd never be heard nor happy

What if one was not taught to care
But to stare aimlessly at the clouds
What if one was not taught to laugh
She'd just be caught in the crowd

What if one was not taught to remember
But to forget all the good times spent
What if one was not taught to cry
She'd live her life full of resent

If one was not taught to love or speak up
If one was not taught to care or laugh
If one was not taught to remember or cry
It wouldn't be living, even half

One's got to learn these things
While they're still young
'Cos if one doesn't know these things
Let's just say their last song has been sung

Love is the most important thing in life. If one cannot love, then one has no life.
If one does not speak up, then someone else may not learn to love themselves, which you must do before you love others.
If one does not care, how can one love?
If one does not laugh, how can one love oneself?
If one does not remember the good times and only the bad, how can one cherish precious memories spent with family and friends? The answer is simple: One does not care.

If one does not cry, one cannot let all of this one. One cannot learn to be vulnerable. One will spend ones life living as nothing more than an empty shell. That is the importance of love.

I like this..It's a great message and flows nicely...the last stanza doesn't flow as nicely as the others, but that's my opinion. Other than that it was nicely written. All these things are a part of life, If one did not have any of these things we would wonder why.

Good Job

Greatly written, my friend... That's right, what if no one's thought about this? The things that are can be normally learned are well portrayed here. The message that you conveyed is also deep that it cuts through an audience's heart.
