Second chapter to the book Just Another Day.

I was running along the golden beach with a boy that looked to be in his early 20s. He had sandy blonde hair and deep blue eyes. His skin was snow White with freckles all over his face and arms. Just one glance at him and you'd think he was an angel. We stopped at the waters edge and both sat down, cuddled up each others arms. His skin was as soft as silk and as warm the sun tingling on your bare skin. We both glared silently up at the sky for what seemed like hours on end, watching it slowly sink below the horizon. At this point in time we were so close that I could feel his heart beat against my own. Together they made the best love song that ever existed on the Earth. That's when it started, we leaned in even closer, as close as one could get. We grew closer and closer, our lips becoming nearer and nearer. And just as our lips were about to touch. . .

Bam! My eyelids flew open as if someone had just given me a heart attack. A dream, it was all a stupid dream. Sometimes I wish my life could be exciting like that. If only I had a boyfriend, or a little grade 5'ers crush, that would make my life the least bit more exciting. But no, my life had to be plain and boring, just ticking by like a clock.

I looked at the old grandfather clock standing tall next to my creaky door, it was 1:37 am. I lay in my uncomfortable bed of hay and cloth trying the method of counting sheep to drift silently back to sleep. But like normal, my one and only method of drifting back to sleep just gave me less chance of that ever happening. I slowly rose up out of bed, stumbling a bit from a not so good nights slumber. I made my way down the hall towards the kitchen to make myself a quick vegemite sandwhich which would hopefully fill me up till breakfast time. I crossed the hall to the living room, switched on the rusty piece of metal of which I believe is meant to be a television and slouched across the dusty couch. The couch was once a nice brown colour but now it has faded into a grey-brown lounge that looks half a century old. That's when it happened. There was a loud knock on the front door. Who could want me at this hour of the night?

This sounds really interesting so far, and I'd love to read more! Mind messaging me or sending me a read request when you have more? I'm very curious as to the knock on the door late in the night...
