Happiness for Someone Else

Happiness for Someone Else

A Poem by Sincerely Yours

How can I let go of you now?

You say

The love and affection

You show me is what she craves

If I didn’t care if I

Was a heartless cruel

Person I’d be fine

It would be funny

But I don’t… I hate myself

I hate what I’ve done

To her, him, and you

I hate the plans we made

I that we hold so

Many people’s happiness

In our own hands

Like we are fate or God

I’d rather suffer and

Go without

If it means happiness

For someone else
