My Heart

My Heart

A Poem by Sincerely Yours

It’s just a game we all play

Nothing really matters

As long as we put on a smile

Everything’s ok

So we suffer in silence

As long days and

Lonely nights pass us by

We cry, but no one notices

What would an open heart show?

Brokenness, heartache, things

We need to know?

What does this world

Need from me?

To pretend to be happy

When I just want to grieve

Your eyes are inviting

And you feel like home

 My caged heart let out

I can finally let go

Still broken and shattered

Oh heart, what’s the matter?

You are free, no judging

From here on after

Held back not by this

World, not by society

Or unknown eyes

No judgment, no scoffs

From others I see

The hindrance thereof

Was created by… me
