Rubix RevelationA Poem by Hannah EricksonSmall squares arrange themselves to make small cubes. Small cubes come together to make and even larger cube- A rubix cube. The squares spin and twirl in methodical motion Attempting to align their colors to make a face, But the cube is so much more than six faces Just as a human is more than a face. We have personality, knowledge, experiences- All required to create the whole. We are complex creatures – ever-changing. Many will come along and try to solve us. Some will pick us apart hoping to find a shortcut to our souls- Our true selves, But these are the ones that fail. The only way to truly solve such a puzzle is to take your time with it. Become intimate with that which challenges you. It is only then that you may understand the twists and turns- Only then that you are able to call a person “friend”.
