Autumn's Angel

Autumn's Angel

A Poem by Hannah Erickson

"

Her hair falls about her like Autumn's leaves

In the colors of which she is dressed.

Her humble smile implies that she is ignorant of her own beauty.

The curves of her face are like the stones that lie

Beneath the musical waters of a mountain stream.

Her skin is as soft as an angel's sigh.

It tempts my touch.

Her mind inspires mine own heart

To seek out a sweeter meaning in life.

The majesty of her soul is evident

In every syllable of every word she speaks.

She is yet another addition to my inventory of fall memories.

There she shall reamain encapsulated-

Immune to the destroyer known as Time.

For her beauty is timeless,

Within and without.

Her essence dances across the spectrum of a rainbow's colors

And brings a smile to the lips of whomever she encounters.

What a blessing to find a lily in Autumn!
