Heaven Sent

Heaven Sent

A Poem by Dean

As the wings of butterflies, your hope caresses hearts,

The innocence within thy words sweetens the lies,

And he who crosses your path falls to his knees,

Demanding some comfort, some innocence, some help

And when he comes will you save his soul?

Will you extend your wings, and fall to your knees

Pulling his hands in your hands, his lips on your cheek?

Will you help him stand tall, with him tainted and all?

As the blessing of sunrays you light up the life

Of the cursed man who stands in your grace,

You lift his spirits when you giggle and smile

And you taint his soul when you cry.

With radiant wings and pulling his strings

You will save his soul from the fires,

And his heart you have saved from the devil,

You brilliant soul, is unchanged.
