StardustA Poem by DeanFirst poem I ever wrote to my Butterfly. My favorite piece.Tonight I pull the stars from the blackest sky and crumble them in between my long pale fingers. There’s no escape and no mercy for them, tonight they shall snow on your hair… And pale skin, covering you into the white wonderland I can unveil…Just for you, just for you my angel. If only you knew what I hold so dear, Locked between muscles and pain in a heart so forgotten… A love so dear, hidden by moonlight… in the darkest sky. And I cry… and I cry and I say… Tonight is the night you may fall asleep so protected and warm… The heavens I cannot compare to you, for they pale… And angel’s beauty fades away miserably in moonlight… Forgotten by humans and gods… only the stars… And the moon… my only witness to this passion, Burning deep within… Forgotten…. So many nights awakened by the slow sound of the stars, begging for you. And I cannot forget how I listened and hoped for one day send the angels to get them for you. So tonight is the night I may pull the stars from the blackest night… And let them fall, And let them fall, And let them fall… Slowly raining on you… I would stretch my arms across the sky And order the stars from left to right… Command the moon and command the sun to go…. And stay by your side. Nothing in the world would keep me away from the stars, Crumble them between my fingers and let them fall… Cover you with stardust, sparkles and diamonds… Burry you in all the joy the Heavens have to offer… all for you. And I wish there was something different, Something that no one else can offer… No one else can wrap you in the stars, Let them shine in your hair and place you among them… No one else can talk to the moon… And ask her to cover you up in her light. I wish on stars, wish them for you… Hope there was something I could do to make you smile… Even for a minute, for a second…a day… The thoughts of you keep me up at night, No worries… I’m fine. Dreaming of angels and whispering your name... I’m delirious. But it’s all good, my perfect gift was meeting you… © 2009 Dean |
