Letter

A Poem by Dean

Congratulations, if I may say so myself
You brought some emotion in this icy soul,
Some tears into these cobwebbed eyes
And a smile upon these rusty lips.
I do apologize for being such a nightmare,
A side of me that should have stayed away.
If I have wronged you, and I know that I did,
I do apologize my dearest butterfly.
Your latest letter broke this lead filled heart,
Your kindness and your simple symphony
Has brought some sunshine in my darkened soul
I thank you dearest butterfly.
For all your questions and requests,
Have no fear I'll answer all.
Go ahead and waste no time,
Ask everything you want to know.
Thank you for all, I apologize for it as well
It's not yet the time, not yet farewell.
