Not Alone

Not Alone

A Poem by Dean

I'm stunned and hurt at how you spend your days,
Fading away like colors in the constant sunshine.
I'm stunned at how you cry your nights,
Alone inside the darkness of your bedroom.

Why do you chose to stand alone,
And face the winter all on your own?
Why keep refusing to see the ending?
Live again in the daylight.

I'm standing by your bedside again,
And your breathing is labored tonight.
Your rapid eye movement pulls me together,
Your breath alone pulls me inside.

Why do you chose to close your eyes
And shut out the world we built,
I promised you joyful attraction,
And I gave you it, have I not?

I'm holding you tighter another night,
You're cold and you seem terrified,
Maybe now you'll believe me,
You're not alone baby girl.

I can sense angression as well
as emotion sweet emotion here
This is well expressed from your heart
I can feel your words. They are sharp
as well as feeling
