Lucky Charm

Lucky Charm

A Chapter by Dean

Please No CSS

None of that silly nonsense, I never beat around the bush with you.

You always had such a curious side, my darling girl

Always asking questions, unsure of how I feel about this

How I felt about you, and how I felt about us.

The sunny corner where all my dreams took place means nothing now

And I couldn’t bear to see it dissipate, disappear and turn to dust

Before these chocolate gray eyes of mine.

Reinforcement is useless, my little one and brother mean no harm,

Nor does that little puppy of a boy of yours, I know…

But doesn’t mean I have to deal with it.

May be a spoiled little brat, but I don’t have to sit through anything,

But all I know is that a different song is playing on the radio

And I don’t know the words to this melody.

The boy should sit comfortably, he means a lot, I understand.

I’m not heartless, but I have yet to grow a heart

I understand.

I get it dear, you missed me terribly,

I had to work quite hard to keep away

But I don’t wish to terrorize his sleep, I’m not that way.

I’m here for you my darling angel,

Never quite left, just stayed away…

My lucky charm is you and always will be,

Not ethical, but hell…I fell in love.
